ESA Challenge is a meeting of 200 students coming to Angers (France) from everywhere throughout Europe for 3 days to have fun together and to exchange view on sustainable development.The event ends up at “Lac de Maine” with a raft race, exhibition of stands, games and a concert open to the locals.

Merzhin, a band with a festive style

Merzhin is a Celtic rock'n'roll band from Landerneau, in Brittany (France). Merzhin stands for Merlin in Breton (a Celtic language). Merlin was a noble magician in Celtic mythology, and true to its name the bands’ music is described as enchanting and magical by rock ‘n’ roll critics around the world. The group was formed by six college friends in 1996.

They have come a long way from their humble beginnings playing at local parties and pubs to releasing their third record selling album («Pieds nus sur la braise» meaning naked feet on ember) in 2006. Their music is true Celtic rock and draws a lot of inspiration from their roots in Brittany. The six musicians combine traditional Celtic instruments like bombarde, which is a kind of flute from Brittany, along with conventional rock'n'roll instruments like electric guitars, drum kit and bass to produce signature music very peculiar to this group.
